SvelteCareers is now SvelteJobs

It’s been four months since Chris and I launched SvelteCareers, a job site for Svelte developers.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Svelte is a Javascript framework. And SvelteKit is a meta-framework built on top, with which you can build front- and back-end applications. It’s very functional and I love it.

SvelteCareers has been a fun project, and traffic has steadily grown as we’ve improved the platform and the amount of available jobs. One job site, SvelteJobs, was steadily ahead of us however. They were the first established job site in this niche.

We struck a conversation with the founders Israel and Laura about a potential acquisition. And we got it done! We’re very thankful for their trust in us and what they have done with SvelteJobs so far.

This is a great opportunity for us to create the TOP destination for Svelte jobs globally.

We’ve moved SvelteCareers over to SvelteJobs as we love the shorter and more descriptive name. We hope to benefit from the older domain and backlinks.

Our combined social accounts (~4K) and newsletter subscribers (~1K) result in larger reach, and if Google appreciates how we’re handling the merge we’re expecting more traffic too. Hopefully this leads to more job inventory, developer visits and growth of the Svelte ecosystem!
